Puget Sound Honor Flight’s first official fundraising partner: local CBS Radio station, 102.5 KZOK FM

Local CBS Radio station, 102.5 KZOK FM, has become the first official fundraising partner for Western Washington’s newly established hub, Puget Sound Honor Flight!

Recently KZOK invited ten local World War II veterans in the studios, where they each recorded their own piece of history. Of those being interviewed, some had made the Honor Flight trip, and shared memorable moments of their visit to Washington, D.C. Others, who were scheduled for the inaugural trip coming up in October, gave insight in to how appreciative they were to be going on this trip, and what it meant to them.

Over the next three months, KZOK will share these stories – both on-air and online. Listeners will be encouraged to visit their website to view the veteran’s videos, learn more about Puget Sound Honor Flights mission, and to show their support by donating to the “Sponsor a Veteran” fundraiser.

“Puget Sound Honor Flight is tremendously grateful for KZOK’s partnership. Their level of commitment and dedication came directly from the heart. We couldn’t be more appreciative”, says Denise Rouleau, Puget Sound Honor Flight Board Member.
